Update Thread

Nice win by Tigers! Impressed by Purples skill people and did not give up. STX needs to clean up the penalties!

The X-Men are going to make it exciting this year!

Congrats Tigers.

Well done Tigers!

BG now free to run the table with the rest of their schedule.

Anyone concerned with X's offense/play calling?

Strong showing by X. Congrats.

Despite two L's in a row, there's no need to hit the panic button for BG. They've got Owensboro next week in a game with huge 5A implications. Let's see how the Purples rebound in their own class after back to backs against a couple of Jefferson County's best and most talented 6A squads.

St X was as good as advertised. Love the smartness that their QB plays with.

One is very good but that Dline is just as good. The RB is a real load for 4 quarters and besides a few bad penalties played very heady.

For BG, for the second straight week. Play an outstanding 6A team and get in an early big hole but Don't Quit and fight for the rest of the way. Many things to work on but if Safety Tomblinson can come back it is experience gaining grit for the Purples.

Love playing X. Class school. Good luck the rest of the way! Go BG!

Always appreciate the X family. All class. You guys could have scored again but kept it classy. Its been many a moon that Purples have been 1-2 to start out year.

I know that Owensboro, South Warren, Christian County and most importantly Covington Catholic are licking their chops. We, the Purples, may be coming back to reality in this remarkable 6 or 7 year run but make no mistake about it, we're not quite ready to throw in the towel.

Purples will always go down swinging. 21-0 at the half and we more than held their own in second half. 5A teams and fans, be prepared. Its getting ready to get interesting.

I still believe

Only 5A team I see competing with BG is Covington Catholic.

Big plays kept BG in this one.

The Purples have to protect their quarterback better than they did today. I know there was at least seven sacks.Buchanan looked like a deer in headlights out there today. If they don't learn how to protect the quarterback it's going to be a long season. With the exception of maybe Covington Catholic, I don't think we will see a better team this year than St. X. These young Purples will get better every game and make a run in the playoffs.

Only 5A team I see competing with BG is Covington Catholic.

Maybe...Let's see how they do with the rest of their schedule.

The purples are young, and they also were banged up. Several of their starters did not play today. They are going to be just fine. Saint X is also developing into a first class opponent for anyone in state or out. Good luck to both the rest of the way into the season.

I was not able to go to Bowling Green for this one. Heretofore I was mostly worried about the defensive secondary. What do you have in mind? So far this year I would say there are few secrets about what we are up to on offense, but I did not see this one.
