Wish Male would have played Brentwood, that would have been a great game!.... a statement by the Dawgs. This is setting up a big showdown with X.

I know it's after the fact, but looking at it closer this score shouldn't have really surprised me as much as it did.

I only say that after looking close at PRP's schedule. They were 5-0 but against a weak, weak bunch of teams.

Going into this week the records of teams they beat

Lincoln County 4-1

Doss 2-3

Paul Dunbar 0-6

North Hardin 2-3

Central - close game called after quarter and a half (4-1 but not that good)

PRP will be 5-3 in two weeks!

A loss to St X is probable, but I give the Panthers a pretty good shot at beating the Crimsons. And who knows, with their starting quarterback returning next week from an injury (per the Courier-Journal), they may give X all they want.

And a win over Central is nothing to sneeze at (albeit in a rain-shortened game).

Biggest statement of the year in 4A, IMO.

I guess not!!!!!!!!! Wow.

PRP dedicated a brand new scoreboard tonight and Male came close to breaking it. It was 21-0 at half, 41-0 after three, and Male played reserves in the 4th (We left with about 4 minutes left and it was 53-0). Male had at least two one-play touchdown drives and scored through the air and on the ground. Sloppy tackling on the part of PRP contributed, but so did some amazing play by Doug Beaumont (he made one cut on the wet field that was highlight film stuff), Josh Williams, and DeJuan Hobbs. On another play, Hobbs took a wicked head-on hit from a PRP defender, then scampered forward for a 10 yard gain and a first down. On the other side of the ball, the Panthers couldn't get much of anything going . They weren't able to pass the ball and couldn't run very consistently. Very impressive win for the Bulldogs.

Oh yeah, Tigerkat, the three weeks off didn't seem to affect Male's conditioning.

I went to this game thinking Male would have a hard time beating PRP. Boy was I wrong. I left after the first series of the 3rd quarter. Male still plays that defense, whatever you call it, 10 men up front with Doug (safety) only 5 yards off the line of scrimmage. If PRP's young QB could have thrown it, it would have been a little more interesting, but outcome the same. I was able to see my ex-neighbor play, largest guy for Male and going both ways, good job Sam.

I thought Male would win, but this is unbelievable. :jump:

didnt surprise me at all seeing that the lincoln prp game was 13-9 at half with lincoln in the lead

It looks like the Dogs are the team to beat in 4A this year!

I thought PRP scored late in the half to lead 16-13 over Lincoln?

Also, I think PRP is vastly overrated, and I thought that before the Male game. The basis of my reasoning was seeing them play against Lincoln County, a team they should have been able to handle, considering they were ranked #4 in Class 4A. They have a decent Class 4A team, but in no way can they compete in that district. I'm not sure that they'll beat Manual.

Are the allegations of running up the score reserved only for the Catholic schools?

I guess it is a given with "Cut me loose Red."

Running up the score or the other team not being able to tackle in a tackle football game. Should Male take a knee in the third quarter, and the kids haven't played a game in two weeks, now how about the backups? How much have they played lately? Check how many passes were thrown by the first team QB.
