Male 59 PRP 0

Featured Replies

Another outstanding practitioner of sportsmanship in not running scores up is the coach I consider to be the best ever in Jefferson County, Dennis Lampley. Check his record. Even with the powerhouses he had, his teams seldom scored over fifty points. He substituted early and often. It bears noting that teams that regularly run up a score, as defined above, are a reflection of their coach and not necessarily the school.

Great frame of reference and as a player for Coach Lampley, sometimes I wish we could have stayed on the throttle a little more....but the W was enough in those days.

To me this says a lot. Without their senior leadership on the field PRP was forced out of their regular game plan. Don't get me wrong, I still think Male wins the game even with PRP's starting QB on the field. But I don't think it would have been as lopsided; nor would Male have gotten the shutout. JMO

Probably right on both counts. Having their starting QB back probably wouldn't have made much difference in stopping Male's offense (although Redman might have thought twice about going for it on 4th down from midfield as many times as he did if he was more concerned about PRP moving the ball). PRP probably would have scored if they had had a more credible passing game.
