February 5, 20188 yr Author My wife wants to get a UofL flag for to put up on big game days. Her undergrad and MD are both from UofL. I also have a Bavarian flag (my family is about 90% German) that I won as a prize for competing in the Cincinnati Foreign Language Festival in high school...I've been thinking about maybe hanging that up during Oktoberfest in the fall. Somebody pinched the UofL flag over the weekend. Actually took it off the clips so I'm assuming it wasn't vandalism.

I've got a few flags I put up...the Commonwealth of Kentucky flag is what flies the majority of the time, but I've also got a Covington Catholic flag I put up during football season this past season, an Irish flag I put up for St. Patrick's Day, a Welsh flag we put up for St. David's Day (the Welsh national holiday...we got the flag at my wife's request since she spent a year living in Wales). Also planning on getting either a German flag or a Bavarian flag to put up during Oktoberfest this year...I haven't decided which as of yet. I put up the American Flag this morning for Memorial Day, and will probably have it up through Tuesday or Wednesday before I go back to the Kentucky state flag. May 25, 20188 yr One downfall to living in an apartment, really nowhere to fly one. I've thought about trying to do one off our balcony, but since you can't have anything permanently attached to the railing, it may be tricky.
May 25, 20188 yr Our flag is made out of tobacco sticks. On the yard form the last snow of spring until cold/snowy weather.
