When did a team from Madison County go?

Roy Kidd took Madison High in 1961

20 was all I could get.

I'm proud of my 48 right.

Although, that comes more from my geographic knowledge and just hammering out counties I knew.

Looking through that list, though, there really aren't any names that surprised me. And one of the biggest things that stuck out to me was that out of that 58, only 4 of them had multiple schools in the county. And those only had 2.

thats what I did. I got 24.

started with Bracken, then Pendleton. You can do this list again in 25 years and both of those will still be there.

Morgan County, Menifee County

Menifee County doesn't have football. I don't think they ever have. Neither does Owsley, Lee, or Wolfe. Not sure about Elliott but don't think they have football either.

Elliott does not.

That's no disrespect, just honesty. Way too many strong football teams on this side of the state in their classes for that to happen.

With that said,

Now the $10,000.00 Question

Which one of these counties would have the best chance of getting off this list?

My first thought was Spencer County.

There are also plenty of counties in the western half of Kentucky that never had a football team. Some that come to mind include Carlisle, Hickman, Lyon, and Livingston.

I can't believe I'm just now seeing this thread. I got 48/58 (minor complaint: Muhlenberg County was spelled wrong on the quiz, which cost me one!) :lol2:
