Same, I'd guess I spend around $200-300 a year on shoes. I also have to buy inserts for my shoes so add another $100 maybe.

What does the word need mean though? Very loose interpretation or very literal interpretation. See I need shoes but I don't need shoes if you get what I'm saying.

I'm good for about 2 pair a year. One work, one gymmer, but never spend much over $50 on either. I do need a new pair of golf shoes and that will be expensive.

The wife on the other had has an unlimited amount of shoes she will buy!! Funny, every time I ask her if she got a new pair, she tells me "no, I've had these forever". We will be going on a 5 day vacation. She will take 10 pairs of shoes.

Yeezy's will put you in the top bracket quick. But no not a fan.

 

I wear dress shoes for 90% of my day, come home put some gym shoes for the gym then I am usually barefoot for the rest of the night. I buy around 1 or 2 new pairs of dress shoes a year typically from 100-150 a piece, new gym shoes about once a year and new loafers/boat shoes once a year.

I'm not a yeezy fan either. But I do like the Ultra Boosts and NMDs a lot and those will put you back pretty quick as well.

I definitely don't have a budget. And I easily spend over $300 a year. That's 2-3 pair.

I don't buy shoes unless I absolutely have to. Only shoes I've probably bought in the last 5 years were new shoes for vending on two different occasions.

I don't buy new gym shoes unless my toes are poking through. That's "need" for me lol.

What kind of tennis shoes are you buying that are $60-80? Tennis shoes are expensive.

I have no desire to help the shoe companies pay the ridiculous contracts they extend to Pro athletes.......BTW, most of those shoes are hideous anyway.

I'm taking the fifth.

Usually about $100-130 a year for new hikers, which I also use for my side job of waiting tables/bartending. Those things are great on greased-up kitchen floors.

 

And when they get unusable for work, they become mowing shoes. Usually about every 2 years I replace my flip-flops and house-slippers for $10 at a time at Walmart.

 

I do need to invest in some new loafers though. But I don't wear them that much so it's an every 5 years kind of thing.

In the past year I've bought:

 

2 pairs of running shoes

Black dress shoes

Brown dress shoes

Boots for hunting

 

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 bucks I'd say.

 

I don't budget for it though, I just buy shoes when I need them.

I used to be a wal mart running shoe guy, but over time they were destroying my knees because they didn't have much support.

 

I bought Nikes for running and it's a night and day difference.

I bought 3 pairs of gold shoes at a yard sale a couple of months ago. They were new and they were my size (12). Nike, Adidas and Callaway. Total cost of $20.
