Harney was not enrolled at SK until after the fall semester started which is a requirement for summer ball. Unlike some of the other transfers SK has had, Harney came from a rural county program. Bigger culture shock. I can only think of one other mid year transfer and she struggled for months.

I know she played against Highlands and another team that night in the summer. I could be wrong, but I think she played a couple other days with them in the summer. Was that not allowed?

Macke has circled back to where it all started. I guess that sometimes the grass is not always greener.

So are you saying she is back at Highlands?

I thought you had to be enrolled at a school to participate in summer ball? Perhaps I am mistaken.

Harney played last summer for SK and a culture shock really people come on.

Athletic culture!

I think that is the case unless the departing team grants permission, which could have been the case in this scenario since the departing school knew she was moving anyway. I'm not positive though.

What about her brother- is he still at HC?

Not like its the first time a player has transferred twice in less than a year. Seems HC should have some experience in these types of situations.

She was able to experience a Sweet 16 at SK. Something she would not have if she had never moved back home or went to HC to start with. It's no secret that there was pressure for her to attend both schools. It's also no secret that she'd have to learn a new system and share the ball with one of the best players in the state at SK. She has no attachment to SK and she doesn't owe us anything. Wish her the best at HC.

They looked at other schools too.

most threads on here take that turn??? Ha!!!!

Where to start? Sometimes things need to be cleared out about certain threads and things.

Joe Harney is a Holy Cross alumni. Both other kids go to Holy Cross. Why did Bailee end up at SK? Ask the coach.

The poster above talking about SK being to hard for this kid to get? Give me a break. This kid played summer ball and was second or third leading scorer on the team and by far the second best player behind Niece and to say something like this shows the intent to hide the real issues here. Which are:

None of the players and parents like the coaches. Fact. They talk about them at every chance. Why is that? Here is the answer. There is no communication between the coaches and parents. None. If you question any coach you are told to leave if you don't like it. Well if you are a transfer coming in that is not the case. Ask any of the parents who transferred in what they were told. They will be glad to tell you.

Players don't like playing for this staff. None do. They do not know how to react to being told three different things by three different coaches. There is a dysfunction in this. There is only one head coach and the other two and primarily the woman coach needs to learn. Look no further than the look on the kids faces when they are playing. They are miserable. Ask the kids. They will tell you. Ask the parents they will tell you. Seems the only people that don't know are the so called college coaches that roam the sidelines of Simon Kenton girls basketball.

This is 100% truth. This is not a post about Harney, but the condition of this program. Others could leave this year. If they are smart they will. I guess they are just county kids too who don't understand the complexity of idiots.

And Simon Kenton talks about Holy Cross. Really. :lol2:

That post is worthy of a 3 bagger...
