What is the bridge you want to sell? They did move.. And Harney's siblings go to Holy Cross.

I didn't say they didn't move. I said the reason for the transfer was not because they moved. Are you saying they transferred to HC because they moved?

Don't some kids have aau conflicts with summer ball?

Murphy is a big vball player. But most of that stuff happens on weekends. Several of these others play aau too. I haven't heard anything about Murphy leaving. Guess she could have. But my guess it's a vball conflict.

I'm just curious to the bridge your trying to sell and I know those close with the Harneys know the reason for the transfer. Bottom line.. no one wants their child to go to three different high schools (well most dont) sometimes life happens and the perfect scenario doesn't always happen....

So why not just say what the reason is then.

Looks like Murphy and Macke are missing.

Macke has circled back to where it all started. I guess that sometimes the grass is not always greener.

Harney just was not a fit at SK. The was compounded by transferring in the middle of the year. SK in many ways is run like a college program and coming from a rural county program there was too much for her to learn in a short period of time that I'm sure made the situation difficult. With summer ball under her belt, she should have a better experiance at HC, where zone defenses are employed and standard HS offenses are run.

That is too funny!!

I'm sure they have a reason and I didn't ask. I don't care where she goes. I just was saying that they didn't transfer because they moved...like someone else seemed to be going down that path. It was just the connection of the two stories. The bridge selling comment was to point out that moving was not the reason for the transfer. It's not like they moved and now are in HC district. They moved and are now going to HC after just last year they moved her up here, looked and spoke with multiple schools and ended up at SK. Now a year later, they are transferring to HC.

Again, I don't care where she plays. You can look back to last years thread when she moved up here and I supported it when others were saying that was fishy. But don't you think moving again a year later with only one year to play may raise a few questions?

I hope she's happy. I hope she loves HC and has a successful senior season.

That is too funny!!

Not being a jerk here, but we don't know who you are replying to. Use the quote button and it will attached who you are answering.

Sounds like Simon Kenton should apply to play in the mid-south

How much did she miss? I thought she was there pretty early. Did she play in the scrimmages? And by the end of the season she still wasn't comfortable? Just seems like there was more wrong than just picking up a system. SK has had other transfers be able to come in and figure it out right? And Harney is an athlete and has basketball sense.

Just a strange situation all the way around. It feels like you're right about "not the right fit"...for whatever reason.

I could be wrong but I thought she may have played with SK during the summer.

Harney was not enrolled at SK until after the fall semester started which is a requirement for summer ball. Unlike some of the other transfers SK has had, Harney came from a rural county program. Bigger culture shock. I can only think of one other mid year transfer and she struggled for months.

Attention other potential Enroll-ees: This was an isolated incident. In fact, the reason she left was that our team and system is just too advanced. Also, Independence Kentucky is a big culture shock from rural parts of the state. Our homes all have many leather bound books and smell of rich mahogany.

Harney played last summer for SK and a culture shock really people come on.
