........well, this soap opera is something worth watching now. LOL

........well, this soap opera is something worth watching now. LOL

I saw you posted and I thought for sure I knew what you were going to put.

:scared:

I was wrong.

What an opening post Ohio River. Welcome to BGP! And with a BANG!

Where to start? Sometimes things need to be cleared out about certain threads and things.

Joe Harney is a Holy Cross alumni. Both other kids go to Holy Cross. Why did Bailee end up at SK? Ask the coach.

The poster above talking about SK being to hard for this kid to get? Give me a break. This kid played summer ball and was second or third leading scorer on the team and by far the second best player behind Niece and to say something like this shows the intent to hide the real issues here. Which are:

None of the players and parents like the coaches. Fact. They talk about them at every chance. Why is that? Here is the answer. There is no communication between the coaches and parents. None. If you question any coach you are told to leave if you don't like it. Well if you are a transfer coming in that is not the case. Ask any of the parents who transferred in what they were told. They will be glad to tell you.

Players don't like playing for this staff. None do. They do not know how to react to being told three different things by three different coaches. There is a dysfunction in this. There is only one head coach and the other two and primarily the woman coach needs to learn. Look no further than the look on the kids faces when they are playing. They are miserable. Ask the kids. They will tell you. Ask the parents they will tell you. Seems the only people that don't know are the so called college coaches that roam the sidelines of Simon Kenton girls basketball.

This is 100% truth. This is not a post about Harney, but the condition of this program. Others could leave this year. If they are smart they will. I guess they are just county kids too who don't understand the complexity of idiots.

And Simon Kenton talks about Holy Cross. Really. :lol2:

hmmmm. The coaching staff looks so lovable and nurturing on the sidelines.

"Was second or third leading scorer on the team and by far the second best player behind Niece"...

Since they decided to put this thread back up I figure what the heck....just like behinds (where it is said some peoples' brains are stored), everyone has an opinion.. better check the numbers..they don't lie

This week on "As the Ball gets Turned Over"

Transfers were thought to be at an all-time high but it's proving not to be the complete case. Bam (Thomas) and Bang (Chames) remain at HC. Harney transfers from SK to HC while Mackie is familiar face back at familiar place (transferred from HC to Highlands). Murphy can only be found on a volleyball court these days. No turnovers there, just spikes for the kill.

The SK program is so high up on another level that no one understands the coaching schemes or coaches. But is this just another way to divert from all of the attention (this tread is no longer just a SK post).

Next week on As the ball gets Turned Over, players struggling to make the proper pass.....

Having said this , I feel I had better clarify my point before someone else tries to...i am IN NO WAY insinuating she is not a good player, simply that when you look at the team numbers from last season (per KHSAA), one may differ in their opinion on that subject. I wish her all the best @ HC and in her college career at Bellermine.

This was not in any way said to put down any player only to show the above posters who are saying Harney cannot understand the complex offense being a county girl that she did in fact do well on this team.

Everyone involved in this mess knows all this is true, including you dixiefan1! Be a man, and man up and confirm all that's been said here. Its the only way we can change our program.

We have underachieved year after year. Everyday in the class rooms the kids talk and people are listening. I have just said what everyone has said in private, both kids and parents and some on schools athletic staff( other sports). This is nothing new, but certainly needs addressed.

Reason for the post yesterday was don't go trying to smear kids when the issues at SK are adult problems, not kids.

Can someone explain to me why it seems the same schools are mentioned every time there is a transfer? Please don't tell me its because of the education a the school they are transferring to.

The only transfer on SK roster is Harmeyer. Everybody else is a permanent resident of Kenton County and played middle school ball in Kenton County. Please don't lump us in with some other folks here!

I apologize if you thought I was lumping SK in with some others.

Since we're adding on. Yes, communication to the parents from this staff isn't the best. They do run it like college, to a certain extent, and are not concerned with all of the mommy/daddy drama.

Good coaches? 2 of the 3 are outstanding. Do the players like the coaches? They like to win and the coaches are all about winning. Would they play as well for a 'softer' coach? Who knows.

Well Kenton Co is a little different and has an advantage to be able to say that because of open enrollment across the schools. It's a nice perk.
