You don't trust insurance companies because you distrust their greed. I don't trust the government because of their general incompetency in regards to financial matters.

The article maybe viewed as private bashing and Medicare praising. But if its accurate it shows Medicare to be a good program. Maybe with one serious problem - its underfunded and sucking away the general fund of the Federal budget and driving our kids into future debt.

The bill is objectively bad but they need a vehicle to get to conference committee. Paul Ryan is calling Senators to promise them he won't just pass it in the House (when he definitely will do that). :lol2: It would be a lot funnier if it wasn't so sad.

Didn't say the dems didn't put Obamacare in place. They did it when they contriolled everything. That's my point. I don't think it is a mess, but can be improved and better. I am not laying blame anywhere. The foundation of Obamacare is probably going to be around a while. Let's work to make it better with whatever it takes, new or reassigned revenue, regulations of high costs, an insurance max scale of payment, etc. I have said that before. Get off of repeal and replace to modify and improve. My point is the GOP has control and cannot get on the same page. I applaud Collins and the ladies for standing their ground, though. If she ever becomes a Presidential candidate, she will get a very high consideration from me. I can't see a Dem I would vote for over her except Joe Biden. I don't think she is crazy enough to run, nor do I think she would get the nom because she is moderate.
