Only if there we're like 4 classes again with less regions (more school merged like mercer and Harrisburg.)

Living in a state where all sports are classified (Tennessee), and having lived in other states where all sports are classified (Tx, NC, SC), I would love to see KY be claasified in all sports.

Out of the 6 State champs use a factor similar to the BCS rating system to Name the two teams that will play for the single State championship. We could have 6 Bowl games one for each class, allow businesses to purchase the naming rights to the games example National City 3A bowl.

 

The Factors could be any combination of factors such as strength of schedule. and wins loses

 

This would give you the two most powerful teams from the Six state champions. The would be allowed a couple weeks preperation time then have a KHSAA state champion Bowl held in either commonwealth or Pappa Johns switching back and fourth each year.

 

Why couldn't something like this work.

Contrary to what you imply with mentioning the BCS system, even the NCAA doesn't look to create a single football champion.

 

Div 1 would play Div 3 and Div 1A would play Div 2. The winners would meet for THE NCAA Football Championship...

I say after we crown the 6 state champions let's have a playoff with the two best teams by ratings getting a by then 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5. Semifinals 1 vs 4 or 5 and 2 vs 3 or 6. Then let's crown the real state champion. The costs of something like this happening though would be big.

For those of you that favor this then please explain to me the need for classifications in the first place. If you want one true champ then let's forget about the other "championships". You can't have it both ways.

How about if each "Championship Tourney" team is limited to a "roster" of 18 (or so) for each... ??

 

I doubt 6A and 5A would like that. Though it would, at least, keep the small schools from being overly-penalized for the bulk of their players going both ways...
