George Rogers Clark 56 Mason Country 53 OT 10th region championship

Featured Replies

As for the transfer thing, it does disappoint me to see 3-4 transfers come into a school a take them from what should've been a down year, to a 10th Region Championship. Scott County has been doing the same thing for years on the boys side, and if the State Legislation passes the Charter Schools it's only going to get worse. I do comgratulate GRC on the win, they played hard, but as a fan and someone who's been around the Mason County girls for years I'm heartbroken, for the players and their parents.

Walk or not walk is not the problem. An official made a game decided call out of his area and the official closest to the call, in her area, did not make the call. I have many friends that are referees and I know calling out of your area is a major no no. Yet this guy wanted to be the hero.

Watch this. If you still think it's a walk ether

A- you're blind

B- you don't know basketball

C- all the above

I'm choosing D - and it stands for denial! No matter the angle, the young lady traveled

This will happen

This senior class deserved a better outcome than what they got tonight.

Double this.

Agree.

Looks like huge crowd, did they turn people away?

Been around the game for a long time. Worst fans in Kentucky. Mason County. Whiny, spoiled. The travel call was the right call. The video that has the best angle is easy to see it was a walk. Now give credit where its due. GRC is the 10th region champs.

The trail official who is the furthest away from the play makes the call and there lies the problem. Why did the official under the basketball not make the call? Officials are taught to never make them selves decide the game. If the proper official makes the call, Mason fans are probably not as salty. Clark got the only official in that position on the floor in the state of KY to decide to take the game from Mason.

Are you saying it was a bad call or that the wrong official made the call?

Because in my opinion, if it was a travel, then it really doesn't matter who called it. If it's the right call, why does it matter who called it and what position they were in?

Which official called the walk the one out front in front of the Mason bench.(if so he would have had the best look) the baseline official was on the right side pretty far out towards the right corner. (if the ref at half court on the opposite side called the walk) then I can see how people would be upset. Even if she did walk they is no way that official could have seen it well enough to call it. imo
