February 11, 20179 yr Miami player just pulled a Chris Webber in their game with Louisville. If you're old school you would say Darnell Valentine. :lol2:
February 11, 20179 yr Defense looked much better and then slacked off after a 20 pt. lead, letting Bama back in the game. I thought the officiating was too tight, not letting the teams play and that hurt U.K.. Bam fouled out and that helped Bama close the gap, imo. I thought that Briscoe had a good game today, he still at time gets out of control on some of his drives but his 11 rebounds were big today. I, like others have mentioned, think that Monk should drive the ball more. Yes, he can shoot but if he drives the ball more it will open up other possibilities. Overall I was pleased after this one, still a long way to go but they look like they're getting the message....... Defense was better + Rebounding was better = Road W, I'll take it every time. Now the Cats can get back to work and get some well deserved pay back on that team wearing the orange juice stained uni's.
February 11, 20179 yr Cats were the beneficiary of some horrendous FT shooting by Bama. I think I heard that they were 8-26 at one point.

February 11, 20179 yr Cats weren't the beneficiary of anything. The missed free throws balanced out the officiating. SEC basketball sucks. It's hard to even watch now. Whistle on every play.
February 11, 20179 yr UK's free throw defense won them the game today. Best since Perry Stevenson :lol2:
February 11, 20179 yr And because of the win, hopefully a footballforever74 free thread. Mine became free earlier today...
February 11, 20179 yr Seriously, is 9-26 (the final total) the worst ever in an SEC game where there were more than 20 FT's attempted? Maybe LSU with Shaq?

Yes, and that will hurt the SEC teams in the NCAA tourney because more than likely it won't be called that way. It hurt them in the Wisconsin FF loss when the twins, several times, were driving as the shot clock was running out and weren't getting the calls they got during the season. And the SEC is calling games even tighter than they were in those days. So a looser called NCAA tourney will be detrimental to the SEC representatives, and maybe the ACC too, because the conferences share officials.

February 12, 20179 yr now it all makes sense I don't know the agreements that various conferences have with one another, or whether most of them only use their own officials in-conference. But I believe the SEC and ACC use the same officials.
