February 11, 20179 yr Final it was not pretty but on the road with this team I'll take it every time.
February 11, 20179 yr A step in the right direction for UK. Nice win on the road in a tough situation. Cats defense looked better - still a long way to go. Fox is picking up his defense for sure. Monk is a defensive liability, a one dimensional player when he won't attack the rim. He needs to attack the rim more instead of settling for jumpers. A lot to work on still but that game was progress for UK.
February 11, 20179 yr What scares me is uk is eventually going to get use to how they call fouls and not play physical. Then in the tournament they will get a crew that let's teams play, and the other will be physical while the Cats won't be use to physical play without a foul being called.
February 11, 20179 yr Author Two KY boys mad some plays for the Cats today. Hawkins play very well in the first half and that was a big time shot by Willis to seal the game late. Good play by Briscoe in the 2nd half he made some plays when the Cats needed someone to step up.
February 11, 20179 yr Bench 7/12 with 16 points 8 reb was much needed. Briscoe with double/double much needed. I thought the defense was on point until they exhausted the fouls to a point where they were afraid to defend. Everyone knows alot of the fouls called today will not be called in March.

That is exactly why at about the 11 minute mark I feel Cal should have went zone and protected Bam and I don't think Bama would have it many outside shots. They were getting everything on drives and fouls.
February 11, 20179 yr And because of the win, hopefully a footballforever74 free thread. :lol2: you have probably just solidified the opposite.

February 11, 20179 yr Author Nice to see that Cats grind out a win. Now the wife and I are headed over to Richmond this evening to watch Morehead St. Univ. take on EKU.
