Virginia Tech 35 Arkansas 24

Featured Replies

Belk Bowl.

Half time - 24 - 0 Razorbacks.

All VT in 2nd half.

Arkansas TE was held out - after apparently shoplifting - in a Belk store. Probably not a good idea to shoplift from your host's store (after they give you spending card).

1-4.

The kid that shop lifted, that's a special kind of stupid. He'd be off the team if I was the coach.

I've got a great friend that's a huge VaTech fan. He's traveling tonight to Virginia to be see his grandpa for probably the last time.

I asked if he wanted updates and he said "NO, mom is recording it for me"

So knowing what this trip means to him, I nearly text his wife at halftime telling her to not let him watch this game. I'm so happy they came back for him, as I found out his grandpa didn't watch it either and is waiting on him to get there so they can watch it together...all I can say is GO Hokies!!! You helped make a great memory tonight for my buddy and his grandpa as they get to watch this, in all likelihood, last game together.

Bud Foster and I were born in the same hospital a few years apart.

Good for Coach Fuente!

1-4.

But spin it however you'd like.

My niece was there supporting VT. She didn't bail after the 24-0 start.

Sigh... if you looked at the other thread you would see where I said I wanted a more uniform system where teams that finished in equal spots in their conference played. But ok. Keep spinning it however you like. They're still 1-4.

They are 1-4 but the good SEC teams will be playing soon. Texas A&M is the only real disappointment so far. I thought they were better than they showed.

Weird officiating call near end of first half. Arkansas punt, fumbled (not muffed) by VT, apparently recovered by Arkansas but never had full possesion and there was inadvertant whistle and then VT had the ball to end the sequence. There was also a holding call against VT that would seem to be a classic post-possesion hold.

Somehow the ruling was the inadvertent wistle caused the play to basically reset back to the original LOS - but then the holding call was applied and Arkansas kept the ball with a first down.

Something not right there and the Arkansas coach argued a point for 10 minutes - and succeeded it seems. But I think the football gods did not like it and that explains the second half.

I thought everyone in the SEC was good? So now it's just a few teams? Funny how slowly but surely the narrative is changing.

Nothing is changing. You'll find out.
