Nothing is changing. You'll find out.

You're right nothing is changing. The SEC has been garbage for quite a few years now.

Garbage :lol2:

Garbage :lol2:
:poop:
I thought everyone in the SEC was good? So now it's just a few teams? Funny how slowly but surely the narrative is changing.

No one's ever said that.

Your obsession with the SEC is borderline unhealthy my man.

7 of the last 9 national championships is garbage? Do tell....

The real question is how does Bret Bielema still have a job. He was trash at Wisconsin, and has had a losing record in 4 years at Arkansas. Dude's lucky his wife is a smoke-show.

No one's ever said that.

Exactly. The overwhelming majority realize the SEC has had some recent warts, especially this year. Bama is good, but even I question how good because of their competition this season.

This.

By way of comparison, if UK steamrolls through the SEC in basketball, then wins the national title this season, does that mean that SEC basketball is elite?

No. One elite team does not make a conference into a powerhouse.

Yup, not living up to the hype at least this year. ACC doing pretty well for a basketball conference.

The SEC was garbage last year when they went 9-2 in bowl games including winning the National Championship? Interesting.

My problem with the SEC is it is talked about as a whole group of teams when in reality it's pretty much only Bama. We don't talk about other conferences this way, just the SEC. Because it just means more... Talk about the individual teams, not the conference. Why is college football the only sport where we do this? The Patriots have played in arguably the worst division in football for years, but nobody belittles their success. Then the Bengals have played in arguably the best division in football for years but are viewed as inferior (and rightfully so) why can't we be objective like that in college football? Give teams credit, not conferences. Alabama winning has nothing to do with the SEC, just the same as any other school. The SEC doesn't win national championships, Bama does. My point is never to diminish Bama accomplishments (although I do like to dog on them a lot because I can't stand them), my point is and always has been don't credit Bamas accomplishments to the SEC.

Umm Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, and Cam Newton own those championships not the SEC.

Actually, Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Auburn do...

Actually, every conference has, and always will do it. The SEC has just cornered the market on it the past 15+ years with tangible results. Pundits, fans, etc. have been sizing up conferences since conferences were created.

You've had your head buried in the sand if you think it's been limited to the SEC in football. Every year people talk about how horrible the SEC is in basketball. They talk about how amazing the ACC is.

Heck, you yourself have been doing the same thing on here with football. You've clamored about how bad the Big 12 is and how they weren't deserving of a team in the playoff and how the B1G should get two teams in because of how great a conference they were.
