December 30, 20169 yr I don't think anyone is rolling their eyes...besides you :lol2: I think outside of the biggest rivals, like Alabama and Auburn, most teams fan bases root for each other during bowl season. I don't understand 1) why that bothers, frustrates or obsesses you and 2) why you wouldn't root for teams in your own league when playing outsiders? I'm not a fan of the local 5A school that's a mile across town, but when they play a team from NKY or other areas of KY in the playoffs, I support the local boys...same thing here. In our BGP Fantasy Football League we all root for someone from our own conference to win the Title instead of those mouth breathers in that other conference. Look at High School Basketball on BGP, most people during tourney time are rooting for the team from their Region...the same team that may have beaten them earlier in the playoffs...is that so hard to understand that you would support the teams that you know the best and play against when facing outside opponents? Comparing HS sports to college football is a horrible comparison. Of course you are going to support the other regional teams you know the kids on those teams. But in college football why would I root for Penn State or Iowa or any other B1G team? It doesn't do anything for Ohio State, so why would I put aside my disdain for them during bowl season for some false sense of conference pride. If Ohio State loses and the rest of the B1G wins their bowl game I'm not going to be happy, If Ohio State wins and the rest of B1G loses I'm going to be extremely happy, neither situation has anything to do with the other teams (except Michigan) and everything to do with my team winning. I don't take pride in other teams besides my own winning. As long as my team takes care of business I have nothing to worry about, if my team doesn't take care of business then I'm not going to justify it by saying they "played in a tough conference"

But your forgetting that hatred is a powerful thing, GrantNKY seems to have a lot of hatred for several teams and most likely an entire conference. I don't have hatred for the teams in the SEC (except Bama) I went to UK for Gods sake, I have disdain for the fans of those schools who see the SEC as something more than what it is which is just a group of schools who play sports against each other nothing more.
