December 22, 20169 yr I am throwing these numbers out there because I heard about this today and just verified them because they sort of surprised me. HRC won the popular vote by between 2 and 3 million not because of California and NY...but because of SIX counties in California and New York. In NY she won Queens Co. by 340k, New York Co. by 465k, and Kings Co. by 460k (those three counties in NY by 1,265k). In California she won Alameda/SF Co. by 675k and LA Co. by 1,273k (those three counties in California by 1,948k). So she won those six counties (basically SF, LA and NYC) by 3,213k. After seeing these stats, I am even more in favor of the EC. I don't want 3 cities giving one candidate an almost impossible hurdle for the other to overcome.
