Steelers 24 Bengals 20

Featured Replies

I would much rather the Bengals get rid of Marvin Lewis than Andy Dalton. But only if they go outside the organization for Marvin's replacement. My biggest fear is the next head coach of the Bengals is Paul Alexander.

I don't think it would be him, I think it would be Guenther. I wish it would be Vance Joseph. However, it is moot. Marvin isn't going unless Marvin wants to go.

Personally, I think you can rail on Dalton all you like. They played this game without AJ and that leaves Eifert your most valuable weapon frankly. He finished with 1 catch for 9 yards. I watched him multiple times and he simply failed to get much separation. Some of that was Shazier and the rest was poor spacing against a 2 deep zone. But you can't expect to win with him getting 1 catch in my opinion

As I stated earlier there are many to blame for the losses this year and AD would be on the list but down on the list when compared to others.

Bengals have a lot of problems. Stats do not show everything. For example, I could hold AB to 0 yards if I held him every play. Seems like the Bengal strategy was just that.

The one knock I have against Dalton is he does not take matters into his own hands. Where were the scrambles or the option run? Just once I would like to see him come off after a 3 and out and engage the OC and Marvin in some debate or get on the OL for blocking or WRs and TEs for not getting open.

As I told my my Bengal friends yesterday, if I was a fan of their team, I'd prefer to lose and move up the draft board once I know my playoff chances are gone. So, not a total loss in that regard.

True. And get a third place schedule next year. The last two drafts have not been good for the Bengals at the top end. Two OTs that can't get on the field and stay there and injuries to two of last year's. Only Boyd has shown promise so far.

1 21 21 Cedric Ogbuehi Offensive tackle Texas A&M

2 21 53 Jake Fisher Offensive tackle Oregon

3 21 85 Tyler Kroft Tight end Rutgers

3 35 99 Paul Dawson Linebacker TCU

1 24 24 William Jackson III Cornerback Houston

2 24 55 Tyler Boyd Wide Receiver Pittsburgh

3 24 87 Nick Vigil Linebacker Utah State

4 24 122 Andrew Billings Defensive Tackle Baylor

Really poor with Boyd by far the most promising and Kroft being a good backup and special teams at best. Of corse Billings and Jackson are still ?? Vigil, Fisher, Ogbuehi and Dawson heading to be busts. This is not good.

^the thing that stinks about the Billings injury is that had he not been injured, you could have seen what he brings to the table and found a level of comfort about possible personnel changes on that defensive front in the offseason. Now, it's just as much a mystery as it was before the draft.

I'm not sure I've ever disliked players as much as Pacman and Burfict.

Yea, it's a shame because Kirkpatrick really said all the right things when he got here. Even when he was hurt his rookie year he said everything we wanted to hear. Now he has been more of a bust. He reminds me more and more of Artrell Hawkins and his over celebrating when their reciever either drops a pass or qb overthrows him makes me cringe everytime. A t like you e been there before and quit worrying about firing up the crowd. Just do your job and stop with the stupid penalties.

If Marvin Lewis isn't seen as the biggest problem of any for the Bengals, he never will to some. Mike Brown is equally the issue too. If Marvin was coaching anywhere else in the league, he was long gone well before now. Mike Brown will settle for mediocrity and worse. It's far beyond this season with regard to Marvin, he can't game plan or have control of a team to save his life.

There is no coach is professional sport that I like less(professionally) than Marvin Lewis.

Fisher hasn't looked to bad the last few weeks at RT. Definitely showed more promise as a RT than Ogbuehi did. With some tackles they really do struggle when you take them away from the side they are comfortable with. So with him, they are only practicing him at LT again now, so we just have to hope that is the case with him, because he definitely looks like a bust so far.

As for Vigil it's hard to label him a bust imo. As I keep saying anytime people talk about linebacker being their biggest need. The way the Bengals use their linebackers it's not. We don't blitz our backers, and we prefer to Nickel defense with only 2 linebackers in. Obviously Tez is out there every play. Then they love Vinny Rey and they really liked Dansby. So there was really no opportunity for Vigil to Crack that lineup. I mean even Burfict his rookie year was not slated to start, it wasn't until Thomas Howard suffered a season ending injury right before the regular season that allowed Tez to move to the Will backer spot to start. So it's to hard to say Vigil is a bust, because it was easy to tell he wasn't going to get much of an opportunity this year, even after having a great preseason.

Now Dawson seems like a bust because he can't get out of the coaches dog house, and I agree on Kroft. I think the other TE Ugozamah (sp.) Is better than Kroft.

It was nice to meet you @Bengal Maniac, even though you threw me off for a second haha!

@theguru, much appreciated, as always sir!

You bet brother, there is no one in the stadium I want to tip more than you!

Oh, Hines Ward is a MAJOR dislike for Bengal fans, trust me.

I was referring only to disliking Bengal players.

I knew that. Just wanted to give my input on the two way street. Not a fan of AB either. Big Ben is also not on any Christmas like list for me. I can go on.
