Giants 10 Cowboys 7

Featured Replies

2 games in a row of seeing cover 1, both games they struggled immensely to run the ball and that is what that defense does, however you are seeing the weakness of Dak to some extent, (throwing it down field), the cover 1 collapses the pocket as well around him. So far Cowboys have not had an answer for it, had (9) days to get ready and make adjustments and did not. I would love to see some zone read by he and Zeke, maybe a designed QB run, I just think he can not throw it that much, its what the defense wants. He has to learn to use Witten and he does not. They also had Vernon pass rushing against Witten, advantage Giants. Thought all the WR's on both sides struggled on that field/cold, we will see if adjustments happen this week.

The Giants are as perplexing as ever. They have beaten three teams with a winning record on the season, the Ravens and now the Cowboys twice. Maybe it is the line, but at times Eli just makes you throw up your hands and wonder what in the heck he is doing? Yet, they are in prime position to make the playoffs, and if the defense is able to sustain without JPP, then who knows with Eli and the Giants what you will get in the playoffs...

Not surprised. It is tough to win division games, especially on the road. Dak was bound to have a game or two like this.

Elliott had a quiet 107 yards. I would not have thought he had that many. The Giants did not let him get loose for that 30-40 yarder he seems to have every game.

I was more impressed yesterday with Elliott than I have been all year. Most talented running backs will look great when their line gives them huge holes to get them to the second and third levels right away where only defensive backs are left to tackle. Yesterday he truly had to earn every yard he got.

Rough game for the Dallas Offense. You gotta remember the Dallas Defense was great last night too. Still 11-2 and on top. The Offense will be fine with some good film to look at and work on. No Romo needed. Last night would have been worse with him at the helm.

@halfback20, was telling my buddy at the beginning of the season that I thought Paul Perkins would emerge for NYG. He said he never heard of that guy but that he'd give me $5 if he got 300 yards rushing. He's at 185 with 3 games to go, think I have a shot?

He got almost 50 yards last night, so hes at 230 yards right now.

If they give him the ball 15 times a game the last three he will definitely get there. The Giants are kind of weird with the running game though. Im hoping he starts taking over.

Great game for the Giants Defense! Sorry Halfback, I know you hate hearing it, but I wasn't surprised by another 2 Int by the most overrated QB in the league lol.

I'm not surprised you can't even get the numbers right.

He didn't throw two interceptions.

He is having a rough year, mainly because his offensive line is awful and he has zero running game.

The Giants are 9-4 though and if Eli gets in the tourney teams need to worry. He plays at a different level in the playoffs.

Tyron Smith was blocking Vernon almost all night.

Vernon is an all around great player and got pressure and did well against the run.

The rest of the D got after the QB too. Romeo Okwara was outstanding in his first start.

Steve Spagnuolo has put together a atout defense this year.

Eli has some Eli moments on his own, but the O line and running game being so vad doesnt help.

His tight ends aren't anything great either.

Dez acted like he had never been on a football field before last night.

I've noticed over the last several years that when the Cowboys win, they show Jerry Jones leaving his box. When they lose, they don't show him at all.

Dak had thrown 2 interceptions all year. He threw 2 tonight.

Dez Bryant had 1 catch. He fumbled it away.

In my opinion, Dez was the reason for both interceptions, too. On the first he fell down just before the ball got to him, leaving the defensive back wide open for the pick. On the second, he gave up on the route. Me thinks he is in pout mode about something.

I really thought the same things, he was off last night for sure, makes you wonder

He was targeted 8 times. Still not enough. He needs 12-15 targets at a minimum in a game like last night's.

The Cowboys played badly on offense and still only lost by 3. There should be no panic. They will be fine if everyone stays healthy

They played bad because they were playing a very good defense.

I didn't get to watch the entire game, but saw a play that went outside to the left where it almost looked like he came to a complete stop and stood up, then turned it up field behind a blocker. It reminded me of some of Walter Payton's runs, where it'd seem like he almost paused in mid-air, saw where his blockers and the defenders were, then came down on his plant foot and changed directions.
