November 28, 20169 yr It's been his pattern all season. Laying one on the ground in the redzone is the worst. I'm a huge fan. But the best player in the nation shouldn't donate possessions as often as he has. Part of his maturation as a player and hopefully his numbers next year will be so otherworldly that it will boggle the mind. Ball security has to be his major focus going forward. I can't argue with that. The turnovers are massive problems. Louisville has 21 lost fumbles this season (most by a team since 2012). 34 total turnovers. Just unreal.
November 28, 20169 yr Are UL's players uncoachable? Surely, their coaches must emphasize ball security in practice especially with the RBs and WRs. As much as he runs, Lamar should be coached up, too. Also return men.
November 28, 20169 yr One interception also went straight through the receivers hands, the one down by the goal line. So of the four, two were really his fault. Unfortunately the stats don't read that way. It wasn't a great throw. 50/50 blame on that one IMO.

When he's been questioned about it in the past he's always said he has to make up for it when he makes a mistake. That's a great mentality to have but I worry that he forces things too much to try to make up for his mistakes.

Lamar's is because he doesn't always protect the ball like he should trying to make a play. That is coachable.
