November 27, 20169 yr I'm hearing a lot of the talking heads debating whether it's his or not. Last 2 games have brought out a lot of skeptics. He had good numbers today but a loss to Kentucky with 4 turnovers doesn't look good.

November 27, 20169 yr The trophy is still Lamars, but you can't deny that guys like Hurts, Barrett, and as much as it pains me to say it Peppers . Is jmo but I think before today it was L. Jackson's to lose, but today he lost it. My pick right now would be D. Watson at Clemson. Watson had a monster day today and was taken out in the 3rd qtr.. Clemson imo will be in the playoff with a legit chance to beat Bama and win it all, jmo. Others that get a nice dinner in NYC imo would be Peppers (like you, as bad as I hate to say it) , possibly Hurts (Bama), Barrett (OSU) and I can't think of the other couple of names being tossed around right now. My mind has gone blank and that's a normal occurrence for me :isurrender: and right now it's late and I'm too lazy to look them up right now.

I would say the rankings will be a combination of LJ, Mayfield, and Hurts.

I was basing a lot of my thoughts on the way he played in games like today and he stepped up big when needed in others as well. When he's "on", there's no better imo. Also, this is his Jr. / last season. I know that at times it's not right in some cases but I have seen where his team finishes sometimes has imput on voters
November 27, 20169 yr Curtis Samuel, if he would've been given more touches the past two games, would've had a legitimate chance at 1000 yards rushing and receiving. He averages almost ten yards a touch. JT has a right to be there. Production isn't what it should be, but with all that they lost from the previous year and the majority of his WRs being freshman and sophomores and the offensive line being completely new almost, I think that was a bit expected. But this award should be Jackson's. His numbers are similar, but better than Manziels during his Heisman winning season.

The only legitmate argument is that Heisman voters historically have seemed to weigh big games in November more heavily than earlier in the season. If I had a vote Jackson would get it. But I do think it may be closer because of these past two losses .

But nobody has been even remotely close. And definitely not close enough to pass him.
