November 14, 20169 yr Who will the other 2,3, or 4 finalists be? It isn't even worth discussing LJ anymore. It's his award.
November 14, 20169 yr Author I think Browning played himself out of consideration this week. The whole Peppers heisman campaign that Harbaugh wanted so bad to happen is going to wind up blowing up in there face and may have cost them the game against Iowa. JT Barrett after 2 great weeks in a row is back in contention to get there. But watch out for Baker Mayfield. He's coming on hot at the end of the year and could earn himself a spot there at the end. It also wouldn't surprise me to see Jalen Hurts there simply because of the best player on the best team situation. I would be shocked to see any other position represented besides QB. Curtis Samuel could potentially have a case if Ohio State can somehow make the Big 10 championship game he will have an outside shot of being the first player in the history of college football to be a 1000 yard rusher and a 1000 yard reciever. But I think in the end the finalists will only be 3. 1. LJ 2. JT 3. Mayfield
November 14, 20169 yr Author I don't know, but it doesn't matter. He is a bad man, it is locked up. Without a doubt. He had a bad game by his standards last week and still put up crazy numbers. He has one knock on his game and it's that he is a little loose with the ball at times, but his numbers make that a non issue almost at least with regards to the Heisman.
November 14, 20169 yr I can see Hurts being invited. The most common denominator of Heisman winners is being one of the top teams, so he will make an appearance. They are required to have at least three, so I think Watson will slip in there as a lifetime achievement recognition.
November 14, 20169 yr Author Basically Watson this year was Jameis of 2 years ago coming off his Heisman campaign. He doesn't deserve an invite for lifetime achievement. Watson has the 2nd most interceptions in the country. He has good numbers because he is throwing it 70 times a game. For some reason Clemson has forgotten that Wayne Gallman is a really good running back. Watson just isn't the same guy this year. Edited November 14, 20169 yr by GrantNKY
November 15, 20169 yr Jackson, Watson, Peppers and the RB from San Diego State I'm not sure beyond that.
