Just got home from the game. Had a great time with my son tonight. Super athletic, they are going to be fun to watch.

Spotty for most of the game they struggled to hit jumpers. Early all of the scoring was either free throws or Willis scoring around the basket.

Monk struggled but the rest didn't look overly bad. Monk will be fine.

Agreed, Monk will be fine. Willis could have had a huge game possibly(10 pts in the first 5 minutes) but Cal has said he knows what Willis can do and is giving minutes to other guys as well to see what they bring. I think Willis gets that he just has to remember it all of the time.

Calipari does two things that I dislike...one, he leaves key players in during blowouts. One of these days, there is going to be an injury in garbage time. Two, he takes players out when they are on fire. The latest example was tonight with Willis. He was on fire and Calipari took him out. Then, he had trouble getting back in the groove.

Another small scores over 60 points on UK. They need to play defense.

This is going to be a very good team. Briscoe and Willis playing with confidence and Fox is the epitome of a PG, would love to play with that guy. So much weaponry.

I agree on both I just think Willis knew it was coming tonight. He essentially earned his starting spot within the first 5 minutes.

I watched the my recording of this one after my favorite h.s. football team's playoff game.

Small school yes, but not a bad small school. SFA has some talented kids and they are used to winning. IMO Cal is going to be experimenting with different combinations and they will look disoriented at times. U.K. will be very good defensively, very good by the SEC season play and especially by tourney time.

Doesnt matter when you win by 20+. Hard to play top level defense when you have that margin.
