Politics doesn't define my relationship. But condescension, rudeness, bullying, mean spiritedness and obnoxiousness will definitely end my relationship with you in a nano second. I still am friends with a good number of family and friends who are fans of President Trump. I am also no longer friends with some who supported Hillary

Yes. I have blocked and unfollowed some of my family.

I have unfriended some, I'm friends with all my kids so I can see their posts and spy on them. ( yes we do). So they see our posts too. I have had to unfriend people for sexual content, and yes racist posts... God forbid some where White and some were Black. It's exists in all forms and from ALL types of people. Stupid and ugly knows no bounds.

This! People vent, FB is one of the places they do so. It doesn't bother me. I can ignore things I may find distasteful, it isn't hard to do. Heck, some of the inane stuff people put on FB actually annoys me more than political rants, but I don't block or unfollow them for that either.

I have a friend request pending from the notorious obnoxious political poster cousin that I refuse to accept (I was forewarned by others in the fam).

 

On the other hand I keep this one crazy aunt who is also an obnoxious political poster – only because it’s pure entertainment.

I enjoy Facebook, and have never blocked anyone. I have read some posts from family and friends that I seriously disagree with, but that's ok.

 

Only way I would block someone if they directly attacked me, and that hasn't happened......yet

The turning of Wisconsin from blue to red for the first time since 1984 brought out the Crazy Cousins. :no: My newsfeed is blowing up with "relative" anger. On the other hand, my 88 yr old Wisconsin dad who is not on facebook is quite happy and robust today.
