LCA might just win it all this year!

Just got home and have had a second to process what I just watched...

 

Danville came out firing early and blew out to a 26-7 lead. They were on their way to making it 33-7 and Harris fumbled. The Ads offense was toast after that fumble and didn't really get going again until late in the 4th quarter. For 2 1/2 quarters, Danville could do nothing offensively. The whole time, LCA was chipping away and chipping away. Danville's defense held them 3 consecutive times but finally LCA took the lead. Then it turned into an offensive explosion to end the game.

 

In the end, both teams scored enough to win and LCA won by the two missed extra points that came back to haunt Danville.

 

The game was won/lost on the line and with Wheatley.

 

Danville was about to get some momentum back but a referee called a complete pass at the 10 yard line incomplete. Danville then turned it over on downs and that was that.

 

I'll take Danville by 2 touchdowns when these teams play again in the playoffs.

I should have added...full credit to LCA. They were better than Danville tonight and absolutely deserved the win. There was nothing fluky about it. Two good teams and LCA got the best of Danville tonight.

This game may be a wake up call for ads. I still like my team!

It was a great game. LCA made some big adjustments on defense at half and that was huge. These two teams will battle it out again.

 

The good news for LCA is that it will be at home!

I echo Wireman's thoughts about the game. LCA seemed to really "want it more" and had more energy in the second half, which produced the outcome here. Danville could not get stops when they needed them late and the third quarter felt like Danville holding on to a slim 26-21 lead when you knew it was just a matter of time for LCA to score and take it over for good. I thought a major turning point was calling the complete pass incomplete as that snuffed out a potentially momentum swinging play.

 

I fully expect these two teams to play again for the regional title in about four weeks. Danville just made their road to Bowling Green tougher, though, with this loss.

Saw both teams and am kinda surprised. Thought LCA was a year away.

Congrats to thunder1 and LCA. Caught part of the game online and was very impressed by LCA.

Looking forward to this from the prediction thread: thunder1. Let's make a deal. You man up and admit you were way off base when Danville dominates LCA Friday. I'll do the same if LCA wins.

 

And this, too.: Pretty sure I won't be complaining, unless it's a blowout. I will be laughing I'm sure though.

Congrats to LCA, showed a lot of guy battling back. Agree with wireman that go back to the walker drop then fumble the game changed. Also LCA found a matchup in the running game with the line and dominated it. I was very disappointed in the ads they laid down offensively.

But hats off to LCA they earned it now the Ads can learn and get better and play on.

I get what you are saying...were the respective Defenses that bad or were the offenses just that good.

 

IMO one of these two will be in BG, no disrespect to NCC.

Congrats to LCA. Nice W for them. The missed extra points hurt, not sure why you never go for two to try and get those points back. Hope for a rematch in playoffs.

Wheatley both running over and past the defense and sacking Dampier(best QB in the state) 3 times was difference. Burton had nice game as well.
