There has never been more working aged people not in the workforce that there is today. Text revenues need to increase by removing barriers to economic development and collecting taxes from a more prosperous citizenry. No country has ever taxed itself to prosperity and this country would not be the first to succeed in doing so. In reality, the debt has reached such a high level that it is very unlikely that politicians could prevent the coming disaster, even if they had the desire to do so. There will always be politicians that will oppose workable solutions to this nation's problems by saying anything to get elected and put themselves in position to enrich their families, friends, and themselves. Bolded is true, which is why find it funny when anybody from either side mentions the debt. Neither are even trying and they haven't in years.
November 6, 20169 yr I was no fan of Carter, but I have never known anybody who accused him of being corrupt. Inept, no doubt. Corrupt, no. I also do not recall any allegations that Bush I was corrupt, unless the charges were leveled by the masters of mud, Bill and Hillary Clinton. Bush enjoyed very high job approval numbers for most of his single term. Allowing Bob Dole to talk him into agreeing to renege on a no new taxes pledge cost him the election, IMO. The Bush family has been tied to the Saudis for generations. I'm going to say they're pretty corrupt. Carter, though, I don't know that he personally was, but I would bet lots of people in his administration were.

He kind of has to defend her, as without her husband's late intervention and support (along with the disappearance of Romney) ; he likely doesn't win a second term--He owes them!!

I think if she has a wave tomorrow night( I think may happen), she could still take Ohio, but I agree that he's odds on favorite to take the Buckeye State.
