Nate Silver called 49 out of 50 states in 2008. Missed Indiana, which went to Obama by 0.1%.

Nate Silver called 50 out of 50 states in 2012. Missed... , well, missed none.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I hope if nothing else you can appreciate that I don't mince words regarding either candidate and am brutally honest. If not, that's okay, I'll continue to enjoy reading your posts. :thumb:

I appreciate you telling it how you think it is or how you see it. Your post I quoted previously basically had you putting down about 90% of this board as they will be voting for either of the two primary candidates. Albeit the Trump supporters got the harsher of the two stereotypes.

Either way thanks for reading my posts :thumb:

Impressive indeed. Just for clarification. Were those his Election morning predictions?

Not 100% sure, but I believe so.

Compare his projections from two weeks ago to his final projections, just prior to the election. Tell me how accurate his projections from two weeks prior to the election were and then tell me which states he hit and missed where he picked against the last RCP averages for the states with recent polling. Nate Silver has missed his share of picks, but his perfect record in one presidential election have made his career.

Like I said, you cannot outperform honest, statistically sound polls - at least not with any consistency. It really is not possible. The problem is that honest polls are not in much demand by the media. If I get time, I will make my picks on Monday and compare them with Nate Silver's results. I doubt that they would be much different, and anybody with the results of the last polls taken before election day could pick nearly every state correctly if they resist the temptation to "go with their gut" on any of the state results.

Is it impressive? Or is it like Joe Lunardi and his predictions? My guess is we can get 45 out of 50 right now without the prognostications of Nate Silver.

Clinton will carry California. Brilliant!

Nevada and Florida seem to be trending back to Hillary at the moment.

Hillary will win both of those states. Mark it down.

Agreed. I think it will be really close. And intense.

We will know who the next President is well before bedtime . It won't be as close as some are predicting. Hillary will be north of 300 EV's, probably 332.

No way.

If Trump pulls out a win, you will need medication.

And when Trump loses(which he will by a good margin), you will be talking rigging and revolting.

Not me. Hillary will just go down as the worst and most corrupt POTUS in history.

538 says Trump has a 35% chance at winning, which is about 3x higher than a week or two ago. They have him with 246 electoral votes and Nevada, and NH are very close.

I think it's going to be closer than you think

You may be right, but I don't see it. I still say she probably gets 332.

When I looked at it I got to 323 if everything borderline broke against Trump. Which red(ish) states do you have going blue?

Not me. Hillary will just go down as the worst and most corrupt POTUS in history.

It's possible, but it's going to take quite a bit to surpass some of our former leaders....Warren Harding (who was a philander and gave in to blackmail because of it and had cabinet members who got arrested), Grant (who oversaw dramatic raises to Congress and the Presidency and had the Secretary of the Treasury among others involved in bridery scandals), Jackson (who helped create the spoils system and created a system of "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" that still exists) are just a few of many Presidents who were unbelievably corrupt or surrounded themselves with corrupt individuals.

Politics at the highest levels has alsways been incredibly dirty.

I'm not defending Clinton or saying it's right. But HRC hasn't brought anything new to the table.
