Per the paper, Dixie only threw the ball 4 times. Barrett had around 180 yards with a 70 yard TD run. Barker had about 90 with 2 TDs. Based on the pictures, it looks like Dixie was using a different QB than earlier in the season.

No halftime adjustments. Jet sweep ends giving outside shoulder and DC holding his head. More than Jimmy and Joes in this one. Dixie brings the house. HHS not enough in the box on a team with 0 interest in passing. Sam Taylor with a gazillion tackles (might be a record if they kept the stat).

Congrats to Dixie. Very disciplined in approach on both sides of the ball.

Last thoughts and I have been real quiet this season. #9 draws safety over the top run him off and throw in the flats, you have a QB running zig zags in the backfield. Tuck the ball. Do we have more than #4 on the sticks and a very poor #1 on the bubble in traffic. By poor not athlete but play design. Posey made some good catches tonight.

Here is the problem in a nut shell! When you don't have a lot of talent and the coaching is as sub par as it is it's a recipe for disaster. The defensive coaching staff couldn't coach in the NKYFL. They keep the same scheme and make zero adjustments!! Highlands defense has been lacking for a long time now. The thing was the Birds could just out score you to make up for the lack of D. It's just BAD!! Quit platooning, change schemes and get a friggin clue!!

Honestly, seeing the results of HHS games this year makes me feel I'm in some kind of Twilight Zone episode. It's as if all the best foods suddenly started tasting like dirt, the sun is green, and the grass has all turned red.

 

I'm not being critical of anyone on staff, any fan, the kids, etc. I'm just saying it's...it's just like "is this real life?"

 

I do know this: a proud program of this caliber won't be down long.

This is a freaking joke. Just received a picture of a Highlands player wearing his uniform, wait, the schools uniform at BDubbs. BW, this falls 100% on him. That's embarrassing young man. Some of the best facilities with private showers in the State, and a player can't at least change his clothes. CMON MAN!
