The Mud Bowl. If an older CCH fan could fill in the year, details, ect.., but I'm sure a lot of you know the story.

Our methods may differ but in the end we are both Shamrocks. :thumb:

LCHS out hit the Devils on that night ....

Id say all 16 of them when it comes to Highlands. All the rest are just games. Go Birds!!!!

If its margin of victory I can remember back in 2002 Corbin beating North Laurel 63-7 and in 2004 beating Middlesboro 63-7 as well. If it's a big win as to importance, I would venture to say any of the 5 state championships. The most important is always the next game on the schedule and that would be South Laurel!

The biggest win in my 4 years at sw was in the first round of the playoff's against Louisville Central we was major underdogs, we was down 13-0 at halftime and came back and won 20-19 in what I think was one of the biggest upsets in the playoffs that year.

There are a couple in my mind for the Rocks that really stand out.

2002 Trinity-Elder: A game where the Shamrocks blasted the eventual Ohio D1champ 44-20

2002 Trinity-Male: 59-56 heart-in-your throat game that stil gives me chills thinking about it.

2005- Trinity-x Part 2: The Shamrocks avenge an earlier 48-16 spanking in a defensive struggle to prevail 14-6.

Probably my top 3, in no particular order. :thumb:

I totally agree but I have to add one more game to the list:

The 1968 State Championship game. The one that started it all!!!

Trinity 29

Seneca 18

Campbell County 1994. Henry Clay in the playoffs. Camel was up by 4 with Clay 1st and goal on the eight. Camel held for four downs and got a personal foul. We held for four more downs to win the game. Eight plays inside the eight yardline.

One game that will always stick in my mind is when I was in TN. We were the country school in the valley of the TN mountains and we were playing the dreaded private school from Chattanooga. They had drilled us the year before (something like 50 or 60 to 0). We were not supposed to win. We were coming off an 0-10 season the year before.

We went to their field on a drizzly night and beat them 18-15. We controlled the ball for about 75% of the game. The fans rushed the field and the players chanted "We are Whitwell High." We ended up winning the region (which is equivalent to winning the district in KY). And made it to the second round of the playoffs.

The Mud Bowl was CovCath's most famous victory, but I'd say it trails the 5 State Championship Games in a poll of "biggest wins" in the program's history.

1) Memorable: 2001 State Championship. We hadn't won a title since 1994, the longest drought in school history. Prior to that drought, not a single Trinity class had gone all four years without winning a state ring since the first championship in 1968. That was the most fun I've ever had at those temperatures.

2) Notable: vs. Elder in 2002. Trinity had never fared well against the Cincinnati powerhouses. St. X, Elder and Moeller had thoroughly crushed us on a couple of occasions before that. After a 44-20 drubbing, Elder went on to win the Ohio D-1 championship, which is rare for Cincinnati schools from my understanding. An impressive win for Trinity by any measure.

3) Margin: Someone will have to clear up whether it was 2000 or 2001, but when Trinity hung 76 points on J-Town, I'd never seen anything like it. Does anyone else still think it's odd when we score so many points considering we're not that far removed from the up-the-middle-up-the-middle-around-the-end-punt offense?

Sheldon Clark's biggest win is an easy one. The win over Belfry at Vipperman Stadium in 1998. 16-15 in OT to win the first regional title in the school's history. That after Belfry had blasted SC 42-22 less than a month earlier at the same field.

My Sr year, Dixie beat CCH for the first time in, I believe 15 years. Nees might be able to correct me if I'm wrong.

2002 Trinity-Male: 59-56 heart-in-your throat game that stil gives me chills thinking about it.:thumb:
