September 11, 201610 yr With all the upgrades, money spent and commitment to facilities... How much better job is UK now than it was 4 years ago? Can we attract a better Coach if the job opens up?
September 11, 201610 yr With all the upgrades, money spent and commitment to facilities... How much better job is UK now than it was 4 years ago? Can we attract a better Coach if the job opens up? I think if UK hires a current head coach it would be someone like Art Briles or Mike Leach looking to redeem themselves. Obvious risk comes with those two or any head coach with their baggage. Or it would be someone like Jeff Brohm from a school at the level nationally as WKU. Stepping stone job. I can't imagine a head coach currently in a power conference coming to UK. Maybe a retired coach would be interested but not a current coach. If none of those want the job then it would likely be a current coordinator just like Stoops was. I wonder if Neal Brown would want it or if he would even have a chance for it.
September 11, 201610 yr Simple answer, No. Wrong answer. Is the team progressed compared to 4 years ago? Maybe not. But the facilities make it a way better job. Just need the right coach.
September 11, 201610 yr No. It makes it a scarier job IMO. The new facilities are going to put added pressure onto the next coach to produce a winner.
September 11, 201610 yr UK is not a better job than 4 years ago due to the resurgence of UL. Why go to UK to play football when UL is the best in the state right now?

I don't think that Brown would want it, bc he knows it and that it's a coaches suicide.

September 16, 201610 yr I think the facility upgrades make it a little bit better. I drove by the stadium a few weeks ago and the practice field is really nice and that was viewing it from the road.
September 16, 201610 yr With all the upgrades, money spent and commitment to facilities... How much better job is UK now than it was 4 years ago? Can we attract a better Coach if the job opens up? It's a better job than it was 4 years ago and even though they have been losing for a long time it is still a better job than many other college coaching jobs. UC for one would be beneath the UK job simply for UK being in the SEC. UK is still a good job but you have to win there or it could be your coaching kryptonite.

It is a coaching graveyard.
September 16, 201610 yr For those saying it is not better. I'd love to see you actually make a case for that. What was better about UK 4 years ago versus today?
