The fan base seems to have less patience than it did before. Also you have UL's success to deal with--this time in a big time conference and I would say UK even ranks behind WKU in the state pecking order.
September 16, 201610 yr Right now, UK is a career killing job. Look at the national opinion of Mark Stoops before and after UK. The facilities may make it a better job than it was 2 years ago, but the program isn't any better and that only adds pressure.

Joker took the wheel and ran it straight into a tree. Talent was awful. Stoops has put together 4 of the best recruiting classes EVER at UK. The facilities aren't even close. The fact the talent improvement has translated into wins is 100% on Stoops. UL's success has little to do with UK's current situation.

No way he should have lost to Vandy last year and So. Miss this year. EKU had not business being in that game last year as well. They should have won that game by 4 TD's. That is on the coaching staff.
September 17, 201610 yr The problem with UK lies within the recruiting. Mark Stoops has arguably brought in the schools 4 best recruiting classes ever. Definitely the best 4 in a row. The catch...no class was ranked higher than 10th in the SEC and 2 of the 4 were 12th in the SEC. That's still fighting an uphill battle when Schools are hauling in numerous 4 & 5 star guys and filling in the non commits with 3 star guys. UK is bringing in a couple 4 star guys a large amount of 3 star and filling in deflections with 2 star guys
