Moving the game makes little sense. Crowd will be hurt by doing this. Remember it is Labor Day weekend.

Sparks and Swift have been in contact about the possibility of moving the game since early this week.

I don't know if this has any bearing on this or not (probably not) but wsaz (local news) has just run a notice Boyd Schols were dismissing early due to the rain/flood conditions. I was also wondering about this game and the East - Raceland game at Grayson. I know that you will post it but if anyone hears any news on this please post it or send me a pm (on either game).

That' different Painter. This is not a playoff game in November. It's a regular, non-district game in early September between cross-town rivalries. Suit-up and play the game already.

The 2002 game between Russell & Mason Co. was not cancelled or rescheduled. The game was played on the same night as scheduled just moved locations from Russell to Putnam.

Because there was mistake made in trying to get the field ready that made it unplayable. But instead of postponing the game the administration found a viable option for playing the game on the night it was scheduled. The use of the stadium was appreciated but the field at Putnam wasn't in much better shape that night. Ask the Mason County fans that were there. It was a mudpit.
