July 25, 20179 yr I mean, we have people who are insinuating that pitchers are lobbing balls in to help him. I would agree, that's being silly. No way are pitchers taking it easy on him so he can stick around. Those pitchers are fighting for their careers at that level, no way are they giving anyone anything. That being said, despite Tebow's recent hot streak, he's still a 30 year in A ball hitting .250. That is a long way from being a major leaguer, let alone a star.
July 25, 20179 yr I mean, we have people who are insinuating that pitchers are lobbing balls in to help him. No, we have a person and I'm not insinuating anything. I'm saying that's what I think is going on. I have no proof, just a theory, and no one has been able to disprove it outside of "the pitchers are fighting for a career."

July 25, 20179 yr How does someone disprove a theory that has no evidence to back it up? I guess you could track down all the pitchers he homered off of and interrogate them or something. That's not my problem. I like this theory. A lot. I'm gonna run with it as long as I can.
July 26, 20179 yr We also have people who are slobbering all over his every AB, so we've got both ends of the ridiculousness spectrum covered....:idunno: Love it

I'm gonna run with it as long as I can. If MLB was going to prop someone up for success it would have been MJ during his gambling suspension foray into baseball. Imagine the ticket/jersey sales if he'd made it to the Majors, it would have dwarfed anything Tebow could do.

I'm gonna run with it as long as I can. It's a bad theory that makes zero sense. Tebow puts butts in seats whether he's good or terrible. And these games are competitive and mean something. Players and coaches are fighting for careers down there. Nobody is going to willingly prop someone else up. And even if they were throwing meatballs to him, Tebow would still have to hit them. Unless you've watched every pitch to Tebow and tracked type, location, velocity and compared it to other players, and found Tebow saw more down the middle, lower velocity fastballs, the theory has zero legs for you to run with.
July 26, 20179 yr In Snottie's mind, Crash Davis is sitting behind the plate saying, "Timmy, here comes the deuce and when you speak of me...speak well."

Imagine the ticket/jersey sales if he'd made it to the Majors, it would have dwarfed anything Tebow could do. Jordan was never pursuing a career in baseball. He was passing time until his suspension was up.

No, but I have legs and everywhere I run, my message will be spread.
July 26, 20179 yr Jordan was never pursuing a career in baseball. He was passing time until his suspension was up. Doesn't matter, he would have meant a lot more $$$$ to Owners and MLB if he'd made it up to the majors. If MLB didn't push him up they aren't going to push someone else up.
July 26, 20179 yr I really love conspiracies. I am beginning to think snottie is my father in law. Everything is a conspiracy to him.
July 26, 20179 yr I don't think Snottie's willing to go to Temecula on this, but don't bet against it. :lol2: Snottie : BGP :: Reggie : '77 Yankees I like the Tebow "story." Who among us wouldn't take maybe a last shot at a pro athletic career? If I'm a minor league player getting beat out by a guy who's been out of baseball for ten years, I work harder. To any player who's irked that someone else is being shown preferential treatment, I say, "welcome to the real world." Otherwise, Tebow is value added to the Mets organization, and exactly where he is supposed to be.
July 27, 20179 yr Tebow is batting lead off tonight! Seems like an odd move. Maybe trying to get him more at bats?
