This isn't what needs more Olympic coverage but an event that isn't broadcast enough outside the Olympics.

 

My first instinct is to go with swimming.

I enjoy watching the swimming/diving, rugby, archery, wrestling and taekwondo.

If somebody says Rhythmic gymnastics, I'm taking away their "Man Card"!

Really enjoy volleyball, swimming, track and field.

 

I'd like to see any of them, but I want to see country versus country like the olympics. I don't want to see mixed teams like soccer...I find myself watching Olympic soccer and world cup soccer, but can't get into MLS or Euro Soccer...I guess I just like the Country aspect of the competition.

Really, I miss the days of "Wide World of Sports" and when ESPN was still new, when you could see uncommon sports.

NBA players demoralizing clearly inferior competition.

I like rugby and beach volleyball. Tried watching hand ball today, just not into it.

I think we should get up a team USA and try and qualify for 2020. We could not do any worse.

How does one find their way to be an Olympian in certain, less-obvious, "fringe sports?"

 

How does one come to realize they're among the best in the world at handball or water polo? Where are there youth leagues to develop these athletes?

I have a friend in the USA handball team. She was a D1 college basketball player, multi Boston Marathon qualifier, and a crazy good triathlete.

 

She was recruited by USA handball.

Beach volleyball and gymnastics.

 

I think swimming would lose a lot of it's luster if there weren't Olympic medals on the line.
