spindoc Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Let's hear it. I have a piddly 25 minute trek one way, assuming I hit my window traffic-wise. Just saw a fella who drives an 1hr 15min one way from just south of Indy to the ville to work everyday. All I could say is DANG!
rockmom Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 1 hr 20-30 one way from between Old Louisville/Schnitzelburg to West Baden. That's down from when I lived in Breckenridge Co, 2 hours each way then.
mcpapa Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 In 29 years of work, the longest commute I ever had was 7 miles.
Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Currently at 16 minutes, on average. Longest commute I've had was an 80 minutes. The frustrating part was if you took away rush hour traffic, it was 40 minutes.
mcpapa Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 In 29 years of work, the longest commute I ever had was 7 miles. And to further elaborate, that was in Maysville. Rush hour is a foreign concept.
littleluck55 Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I leave my condo and sitting at my desk in about 14 mins. Takes me longer to walk from car to my desk then it does to drive there.
HammerTime Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I worked up in tri-county for a while. That was about an hour each way. Pretty awful. Now I have an easy 20 minutes taking back roads from where I live to Ft. Thomas. My biggest traffic concern is if river road is going to flood like it did today. One day they will finally figure out how to drain that road.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 27 miles. Takes about 30-35 minutes at 6:00 AM and an hour at 5:30. Not ideal, but it is what it is. It is made worse by current construction around downtown, and if they ever get around to building a new bridge, it will be downright impossible.
hoops5 Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Less than 10 minutes, that includes dropping off a hoops5 jr. on the way to work with another hoops5 jr. Love it. Would not change a thing. A long, long time ago I was a reverse commuter in Chicago. Lived downtown in the 312 and commuted every day to the 708. At least 30 min each way. Loved it. Would not change a thing.

Our routes are almost reverse of each other, I'd guess. 21 miles for me, and roughly 25-28 minutes if it's not rush hour. Rush hour can take up to an hour, but is generally 30-35 minutes. I hate the construction zones, and the bridge hasn't even started yet.
