July 19, 201610 yr The Hardees in Maysville could close its doors at 11AM and probably turn a better profit than it does now. They sell biscuits and gravy like hotcakes (pun intended). I don't understand why they don't just sell breakfast all day in Maysville. It seems like it's the only thing they sell. IMO they do have the best biscuit and gravy.

July 19, 201610 yr Made from scratch biscuits and sausage gravy are impossible to beat when done right. Any half-conscious moron like myself can fry bacon and eggs. Biscuits and gravy are more of an art. I won't even try making biscuits. I can make the gravy, but have not gotten it just right. My gravy isn't bad but man have I screwed up many a batch of gravy.

When I take mom and dad up to visit her family in Iowa, one of the things we always do is I play short-order cook for everybody making breakfast one morning. Omelettes are one of my specialties. I realized that biscuits and gravy wasn't part of it so I attempted to remedy that. Screwed it up royally because I never had anybody to teach me properly.

I love gravy on over easy eggs, all smooshed up like an egg-gravy soup. So, I asked the server at breakfast if I could get some gravy to go with my eggs, since I didn't see it on the menu. God love him, he got me some gravy....beef gravy...like...with roast beef gravy... I ate it. He went out of his way and I couldn't be ungrateful, so I ate it and tipped him well. That was maybe the most disgusting meal of my life.

If I never return to Detroit, it will be too soon. And I have never said that about any other place I have ever been.
