If not mistaken, Ashland owns Belfry overall. I guess I just expect a lot out of a team who draws for an area like the city of Ashland. Its such a good ole blue collar town but yet has nice area to draw great talent from. Is there any Ashland fans who feel a "antiquated" smashmouth approach would suit the program and the town?

So unlike me...I seriously hope Ashland bounces back. Looks like we'll have a great rivalry under the new alignment, and a rivalry is better with 2 good teams. Plus, I kinda like jawing with those cry babies. If they start 0-3, I'll start feeling empathetic, and I really hate the thought of that. Go Tomcats...we're lonely at the top.

If Ashland plays the way they did Friday, Belfry will run right through them. I don't think Ashland can win this game with everything they have got to fix, which is a lot. Right now, they are not a good team at all. Belfry beat the #1 team and defending champs of 1A last Friday and Ashland couldn't beat an 1A school who is unranked. I don't see Ashland giving Belfry any trouble unless they play 200% better and even then I don't see them beating Belfry. I hope Ashland comes out alot better than Friday but it won't be near enough. I see Belfry definately winning this one.

I don't know if soft would be the word but they are not a very good team right now. That's not to say that they can't be a good team but they need alot of work to get there. They got beat by an average team last Friday.

Yes they did! I think the headline on the Louisville paper called us the "SmAshland Tomcats"

Jump on us now because later in the year I think we will be a good team.

I believe that the Pirates will come out on top of this one. It will be a low scoring game but Belfry should win this one.

You know...... I would love to see Ashland hand the Pee-rats a loss and thump them good, but I dont see it happening. Belfry will roll this week and I see Ashland being o-2, sorry I wish it were different.

Ashland has a lot of practicing to do. Coach Hart has always mentioned turning the lights on at the practice facility and practicing until we got things "right" we might just very well see that happen this week.
