I dont know about all that, but I was just looking through the Twitter feed I posted above and saw this. Had some interesting stuff in it especially the 2014 Reuters poll numbers. I wonder if that number is higher now. When you look at Texas its foundation was the result of issues that are contemporary. - Mexico's inability to control their northern border. - Illegal immigration by Protestants into what was then Mexico (Mexico allowed only Catholics). - Declaration of Independence by the primarily white, Protestants.
