Yep, just happy we improved from the terrible "chuck and duck offense" of last season...

Ricky T will always be owned by CCH. Yeah a lucky year every solar eclipse but thats the bottom line.

Just remembered this......did it seem like there were very few penalties called? Clean game by both teams, and well-called by the refs.

Very true.... Remember last year's Boone County vs CovCath game and all the offsides calls. The biggest this year, was for kicking the ball after the bad snap, but other than an illegal substitution by Boone, I really can't think of anymore...

Mud Bowl.........:D

Also knocked them out of the playoffs in 2001.

Congratulations to CCH, and expecially Mr Popham. 54 yard field goals are stuff that legends are made of. Nice job. :ylsuper:

I'm wondering, did the Boone coaches allow their players to taunt CCH during warm ups?

Didn't seem to be the case. Just the usual "let's get fired up" hootin' and hollerin'. But I didn't see or hear anyone talking trash from where I was sitting.

There weren't all that many Boone fans.

Plus I am told there was a wreck on 75 north, which made the game difficult to get to from Florence.

There wasn't any that I saw or any that I heard about from players.

The biggest surprise to me, was the lack of fans from Boone County following their team. I understand that school hasn't started, but many who sat near me, commented on how small the Boone County crowd was. One guy even mentioned, that if just all the parents of the kids on the Boone County football team had showed up, there would have been a bigger crowd. What gives Boone fans......

As a "Rebelalum", and now a teacher at Boone, I had the same thoughts!! Where was everybody???

Boone will always hold my heart!! No matter what!!

I am a life long fan.

I did not see a lot of pep or desire in the team. I am not sure what is going on, but I know they appeared to try and many of the guys looked heartbroken and frustrated as the game progressed.

Time will tell.

As far as a wreck on the interstate keeping fans away, I was late to the game because of the traffic. However I don't believe for a minute that kept a true fan away.

Boone needs to get that fire back, it has been missing for sometime. To be honest, with most of NKY 4A, I thought that they would paly with a much higher form of intensity with the new road to Louisville.

I don't recall Boone players or coaches being involved in this type of behavior in the recent past. Did I miss something?

Boone players usually have one or two that will jump around and hoot and holler taunting the other team before the game...I know Anthony Kammer was known for this last year and did the same thing at the All Star game then got his bell rung pretty good during the game by Justin Smith and we didnt hear to much from him in the stands the rest of the game  :sssh:
