Cov Cath 44 Boone Co. 2

Featured Replies

I think both is the answer to the question. CCH looked very good. They are big, athletic and fast. Some of their players that played last year look more than a year better. I really like the RBs and Sutton made a big time catch on the TD. If Bleser gains more command of the offense (he is good now) CCH will be very difficult for anyone in KY to beat.

I really don't know what to say about Boone other than they need to work on the throwing game. It is a rare game when you see someone run the ball at CCH and the Colonels run defense looked fantastic today.

Cov Cath has a long long way to go before we make them out to be one of the Top teams in the State. Their not even the best in their district.:D

Without question CCH is one of the top teams in the state but I do agree they still have a long way to go if they want to win 3A.

CCH got things going from the get go with a 40 plus yard touchdown from Kurt Bovard off a 5 yrd hitch. Boone struggled in both passing and running the football the entire game. Boone needs to work with the offensive line before the next game so Farris doesnt come back and get smacked in the mouth like those rebel running backs did. CCH looked good but still has a way to go before they have a chance at 3A. Good Luck to Both teams.

Not trying to be overly harsh, but this is as bad of a Boone County team as I can remember.

The biggest surprise to me, was the lack of fans from Boone County following their team. I understand that school hasn't started, but many who sat near me, commented on how small the Boone County crowd was. One guy even mentioned, that if just all the parents of the kids on the Boone County football team had showed up, there would have been a bigger crowd. What gives Boone fans......

Its hard to compare any crowd to one like CovCath... they always have a big out come :thumb:

Was told it was either the third or fourth longest in state history, and was also a CovCath record.....

..

4th longest. The kid up at Ohio State hit from 58. Another kid hit from 57 and a third hit from 55.

Very impressive for Mr. Popham. Its a good week as he was also Channel 5's student athlete of the week.

Who is better then CCH in their district ?

Covcath hasn't beaten Highlands more than one or two times in the last decade! I don't see that ever changing.

Mud Bowl.........:D

I can't remember a Boone team that looked this bad.Looks good for Ryle.

ONE COMMENT....... I guess Cov Caths offense isn't too bad huh?

See old thread if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Yep, just happy we improved from the terrible "chuck and duck offense" of last season...
