Highlands vs. Scott freshman game has been moved to Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Scott.

Correct. Newport class of 81. Went to EKU for a year or two. Helluva athlete.

Yep. Him and Leonard Slaughter. Also good bballers.

Slaughter graduated in 1978 I played football with him.

After HC beat Brossart on monday I guess bracken decided not to make the trip down. It would have been a long ride home anyway.

Yep. Him and Leonard Slaughter. Also good bballers.

Willie Slaughter is who you mean.

X doesn't cut in football....Its a good idea....who's to say that your freshman 3rd stringer won't hit a growth spurt and become your varsity stud?...better to have some skill and knowledge of the team's system in him .....

Also football is way more than just a sport...there are many good hard life lessons that go with it....and playing time earned is a great start!

:dancingpa Give a hand to all the coaches that spend long hours for the development of the programs and the kids. I know of many kids that never played before freshman year and went on to make great additions to the team!

NO lenard Slaughter is who I mean he was working at newport steal before the drugs took him over.

Who is the starting Qb for Highlands this year?

Regarding the new school or where it will pull from?

Both . . . .

The word I heard at school the other day is that there is no money to build the school in the "near" future . . . . but--if you drive by the location--they did some work there already.

From what I have been told--by someone in the central office--is that it will be a pretty even draw from all 3. And if you look at the geography--more would actually come from the union area (I am not sure where you got the Camp Ernst high school thing--but the location that I have seen is in a different area)

Who is the starting Qb for Highlands this year?

Will Bardo. Cousin to Highlands varsity starting QB Clay Cecil.

Will Bardo. Cousin to Highlands varsity starting QB Clay Cecil.

Is he Brad's brother?????

Is he Brad's brother?????

Nope. Another cousin.

He's Brad's cousin.

Willie Slaughter is who you mean.

Yea, I think thats right.

That is ridiculous......75 kids...ever hear of the word cut? Send a few down the road to BC.. they obviously need some help these days.

There will be a many disapointed parents who have to sit through many games and not see little johnny play much.

And here I thought you were talking about Bracken County.
