Belfy 7 NCC 6

Featured Replies

In my eyes I missed tow sweet games and two blowouts but, overall I agree I would have had a better time in Pike County then I did in Louisville. The atmosphere on Saturday really showed the lack of interest in this event. I talked to many fans of fans and found not one other person there who was staying to watch more then one game. Those who were there to watch their teams did seem to be into the games for the most part.

On Friday though the games turned out lopsided I did like the overall experience. The folks I met were very nice but, the two events(Pike County Bowl and the Cumberland Valley Bowl) at least on this night can not be compared.

I have to say this was a top notch facility and the Belfry fans were amazing and very friendly to the NCC fans. It is too bad the two teams are so far apart, would be great to have them on the schedule each year but I have to say the drive is just too much for all involved. We didn't get home until 5:30 am on Saturday!

Thanks for the comments, NCCFamily. I hope every visitory to CAM Stadium is treated with respect and shown some hospitality. I thought the NCC crowd traveled very well and the ones I talked to after the game were gracious and complimentary.

This would be a GREAT annual game for both teams but I'd like to see it played somewhere around week 7-8. Nothing like a tough game with playoff atmosphere to tune you up for the real thing. I agree it is a long drive, but a regular season matchup could be scheduled to start on time and save a couple of hours off that time for sure.

And I guarantee the Pirate fans would travel very well to NKY and bring in big gate receipts and a hefty appetite. :D

Where's oneijoe when you need him to make a 1A vs. 2A point.?

Oh, I'm here... But honestly, the point has already been made. ;):D

Was the offense that poor or was the Defense that great?

Reserved seats were not sold for this game so me and about 10 NCC fans sat under the press box on the 50 yard line pirates side.

We expected a few looks and perhaps to be chased to the visitor's side but the fans were great.

We had great football conversation and a great game. It could have gone either way and I dont think anyone in the stands would have been truely upset by the outcome dispite who won. Great way to start the year hope both teams have great years. :thumb:

So you were the one in my regular seats.....:fight: :D;)

Cool story dozer, I saw you guys sitting on the "home" side and it gave me a chuckle. That is exactly the same type of thing I would have done.

As a matter of fact, I have it on good authority you did the same thing last year at Pikeville.:sssh: Any truth to that?

yup we did :p we even gave up the awning in a rainstorm to sit with the pikeville faithful :ylsuper:

LOL, I remember that and I was there with you. I talked with you guys some in between lightning strikes. :D

Me too. :D

Do you have anymore good pictures of the field that you would care to share?????

That is the only one I have. I bought a print at the school and scanned a copy for my avatar. They sell them in the office if you'd like to get one.
