Time Travel: Would you rather go back to the past or ahead to the future?

Featured Replies

If you were given the ability to time travel, but you could only go to either the past or the future, which one would you choose & why would you choose it?

I'd go to the past, mostly because I'd be afraid of learning bad news in the future and it would bum me out the rest of my life. The primary allure of the future would be pulling a Marty McFly with the Sports Almanac, but I still opt for the past.

Let's hear what you say.

I'd. Go to the past as well. I'd like to hang with my grandpa's when they were in their twenty's. Also would like to see Crosley field and areas that were not yet developed. Party on Monmouth street in Newport as well.

I'd go back to July 11, 1995 and make my father go to the doctor.

I'd go to the past and become a very successful gambler on sporting event outcomes

I'd go to the past, and make myself a billionaire by betting on sporting events that I already knew the outcomes to.

Put $10k down on LC to win the Premier League and walk away with a cool $50M.

The past would be cool and there are several places and times I'd like to visit. I also would love to see big moments in my children's and grandchildren's lives that will happen long after I'm gone.

I'd love to have played with my dad when he was a little kid and spend time with some of my favorite historical figures.

To go back and hear Jesus' teachings, would be a must do for me also.

The allure of going back to the past and altering history to my personal preferences is too much to pass up. The ability to still have The Chappelle Show in our lives!!!!

On top of that I'd be an American hero as well as the smartest sports mind in history. I'd be like Lou in Hot Tub Time Machine. :lol2:

Depends on if you get to stay or not. If you don't get to stay I go to the future and learn things. If you get to stay I go to the past.

I have done some really stupid things in the past. I would love to go back and change them.

I'd go back about 100 million years ago and chill with my relatives before they became extinct.

No way I go to the future. NO WAY. Its already bad enough now, I hate to see it later on. Probably have to bow to statues of Hillary and recite the DEM PLEDGE

Go back to be in the room when they signed the Declaration of Independence.

If you went back in time would you be an invisible observer or would your actions change the future? Same thing with going to the future and bringing its knowledge back to the present?

Morlocks and Eloi and giant crab monsters as big as a bus? No thanks, future.
