Hillary has had 12 million total votes cast for her. Trump has had 10 million total votes cast for him.

 

Who of the Cruz or anti-Trump faction stays home that voted in the Republican primary? Who of the Bernie or anti-Hillary faction stays home that voted in the Democratic primary? Who goes toward a third party? Could we see significant results for BOTH a Libertarian Party candidate and a Green Party candidate?

 

Lots of unanswered questions remain.

 

But if a secondary question is "Do you take a Trump presidency as serious as a heart attack in a way you absolutely didn't 12 months ago?" Then the answer is an unequivocal "Yes."

I talk to my neighbors, too. Unfortunately, what transpires in KY tells us little about trends in national elections. Which is why generalizations based on yard signs in Independence, Ky., or the fact that someone's union brother-in-law intends to vote for Trump tell us zilch about the big picture.

They are both opinion columnist. The editorial board for the Post is very liberal. Is that even really a discussion ?

The same voters that stayed home during the McCain and Romney runs will be out in force this election, against HRC as much as for Trump.

No way Trump can get enough voters to the polls to beat Clinton. He's trailing 81 to 16 in non-white favorability in a direct race with Hillary.

 

Can anyone explain to me why any black, brown, latino etc are for the Democrats? I understand Trump is scaring the illegals by threats to send them back, but what has the Dems done to help any of these groups more than anyone else?

I have no doubt that many GOPers will vote for Trump because they dislike Hillary. I understand that. However, the flip side of this coin is that even more lukewarm Dems, independents, moderate R's (primarily females) will vote for Hillary because they view a Trump presidency as downright scary.
