They have some good young talent, assuming D'Angelo Russell didn't burn any bridges. Getting rid of Kobe will help. I assume they will land a big time free agent within the next 2 seasons and will become relevant again.

May 2, 201610 yr Everything I read tells me that the Lakers will struggle until they settle their ownership issue at the top. The Lakers were better with Jeanie running the ship than they are with her brother in charge.
May 2, 201610 yr It will be interesting to see how good of a coach he really is. He took over a team that just won a championship and already and great team chemistry. It was like him driving one of those brand new expensive cars that basically drives itself. Let's see how he does having to be the one who has to get the team to come together and play winning basketball.
May 2, 201610 yr I think he's a good coach, actually had the Warriors playing better during his run than Kerr. BUT, going to be a lot more difficult with Clarkson and Russell than it is with Steph, Klay, Draymond and that supporting staff.

He took over a team that just won a championship, and was running the offensive and defensive system Kerr put in. I mean he did a good job obviously since they did get off to an undefeated start. However the Warriors would have lost very few games with me coaching the team to start the year too, if I took over a championship team who already had great team chemistry. It will definitely be interesting to see how he does.
