How does Greenup County get so many first place votes and not be #1?

Is Beechwood the best in NKY? I really don't follow baseball all that closely.

They get the most hype but Ryle is the best team top to bottom IMO. Both are pretty good .

Must be a typo.

I believe Jessamine was at 3 last week. Dropped a spot thanks to SK knocking them off in Independence

Greenup is 22-0 and has beat #4 West Jess,#12 Beechwood ,and #18 Johnson Cent. A few nice win`s.

I'd guess that Central Hardin, McCracken, West Jessamine were all near the top on every ballot, while Greenup received lots of first place votes but then weren't in the top 10 in a few ballots either. Just basing that on how math/polling works.

I think North Bullitt is under ranked. Throw out some head scratching losses early and they will be there for the 6th region crown and state tournament again for the 3rd year.

Probably a dumb question but how does a team get 9 first-place votes and come in at No. 2?

I gave a possible explanation earlier.

Beechwood has had a couple of key injuries this season, so they may well be the top of the heap in NKY. That said, Ryle is better (IMO) right now, and could possibly be better when both are at full strength.

Interesting on how Ryle isn't ranked here but USA Today has them ranked #7 in the state of Ky

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. NB is strong but I think 6th and 7th regions are both up for grabs. Fairdale and Holy Cross are having strong years in the 6th - Bullitt East can beat anyone on a good day. Haven't seen Butler or PRP yet but you know the boys on Dixie Highway always bring a quality product to the yard.

What is the story around the Spencer County run rule over NB?
