Marcus Lee Has Entered the Draft

A month ago, Lee’s brother called transfer rumors a “slap in the face”

The strangest part of Lee’s announcement? A month ago, his brother, Bryan Lee, told Kyle Tucker that transfer rumors were “baffling” and “a slap in the face”:

“There’s whispers every year, just because people feel like they know what’s better for him,” his older brother Bryan Lee told The Courier-Journal on Tuesday. “But as he’s shown each year, he’s completely loyal to Kentucky. It’s kind of baffling that anybody would question that, considering what he’s done for the school and the impact he’s had on that community.

“It’s almost kind of a slap in the face to him that anyone would even question that, considering what he’s sacrificed.”

I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when I looked back at the Charles Matthews thread and saw no mention of him being a traitor with no character...

He is a freshman. He dont count.

Two weeks ago, Lee ruled out a transfer at the NBA Draft Combine

Marcus Lee said he never considered graduating and transferring to play his final year elsewhere. It was always return to UK or enter draft.

I fail to see where Marcus Lee put his name on that quote...

No his leaving dont effect me, but it shows a lot of what kind of character Lee has about himself. Which to me right now is none.

What's sad to me is how many others across our state probably feel the same.

His brother speaks for him.

Lee has been a model citizen and student during his time at UK. I've seen a number of stories talking about good things he's done in the community. To attack his character because he is doing what he thinks is best is silly.

Lee had his chance to produce and didn't measure up to UK standards , so the new guys simply bump him out and take his place. It wouldn't get any better the year after if he did redshirt because another class would be coming in. Wiltjer definitely mad the right move and Lee will too. He is a class act though, period, but the three star guys will seldom make it to their senior year.

I guess he changed his mind. We should just wish him good luck and hope this move works out for him.

Your right.

Good luck and good riddance.

If your not with us your against us.

This family reminds me of some parents I know that moved their kid from a school because they had grand illusions that they were better than they were and thought the grass was greener on the other side. Well it ain't no greener.

I just hope for some of you guys on here that Lee comes back and does his autograph tour so you can pay your money to have him sign your ball.
