Marcus Lee Has Entered the Draft

Featured Replies

So, whats wrong with how I feel. I think of Lee as a quitter and traitor.

He wasted the coaches time, he used up a scholly on someone we could have gotten better, and now he to me is afraid of the competition.

So let's say your current job says hey we have these new guys who we think are better than you at your job. So we are going to cut your hours in half and basically make you part time. You are saying you would want to stay at that job having to help mentor the guys taking your spot, while you also are making half the money you were use to? You're saying you would be OK with that and would stay at that job out of loyalty even though your hours were now cut in half. When you could go to a new job and be full time again?

There is probably zero chance you would be fine with that. But you are saying he should put UK ahead of what is best for him though? He has competed for time for 3 years and did help us get to the final four his rookie year. He probably just realized his dreams aren't going to come true at uk and so his best chance is to transfer. Just like how it was better for Kyle Witcher career to transafer. When it comes to who you play for you have to do what is best for yourself.

well, Lee would technically be taking a pay cut. (Sorry, had to get that jab in there)

If he wants to make money he needs to develop some type of offensive game. His three point line is the smiley face in the lane at this point.

He made a great decision, I applaud the new rules for allowing him explore his options.

Your right.

Good luck and good riddance.

If your not with us your against us.

This family reminds me of some parents I know that moved their kid from a school because they had grand illusions that they were better than they were and thought the grass was greener on the other side. Well it ain't no greener.

I just hope for some of you guys on here that Lee comes back and does his autograph tour so you can pay your money to have him sign your ball.

Question for you. Have you ever switched jobs on your own accord? If so, what were the reasons?

That's not the same thing. This is Kentucky Basketball!

How can transferring help him? He can't play next year in D-1, right?

He can work on his game though, and then after sitting a year, he can be a focal point wherever he ends up. It'll help him more than hurt him.

Marcus Lee could be returning to Rupp Arena.

It’s been just over six hours, yet five schools have already reached out to Lee. Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas and Gonzaga have reached out to Lee, according to Jeff Rabjohns of Rivals. He wouldn’t be eligible to play for Kansas next fall, but it would be interesting to see if he made the trip with the team to Rupp Arena.

And these are so much closer to home in Calif.

Question for you. Have you ever switched jobs on your own accord? If so, what were the reasons?

Yes, because my BOSSES were complete back stabbing liars.

I get same pay as before and same job as before.

But you didn't want to deal with those bosses anymore, correct? You could've stayed but instead you wanted to get away from those bosses (i.e. your own benefit)?

You're a traitor! You're character is awful!

(P.S. I don't really believe those things, but that's exactly what you are saying about Marcus Lee for the same thing.)

No my Bosses were the traitors. They were the ones who destroyed what was done at my job and all the workers knew it, and many more left.

My character is great, its the BOSSES who had the terrible character.

But it dont matter because this isnt even close to the same situation.

And you think Lee thinks that about Calapari?

I could very easily see Lee thinking Cal wasn't utilizing him properly, or wouldn't allow him to properly develop his game like he thought was needed.

So let me get this straight...

Marcus could've stayed but chose to leave for his own benefit and because of that he's a traitor?

I have no idea what Lee thinks. Maybe he does have an issue with Cal. Maybe he doesn't. The thing is, you don't know either. What we do know is that Marcus Lee decided it was best for him and his family to look elsewhere. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
