Prayers for Johnson Central

Featured Replies

A body that was found in Paintsville Lake appears to be that of a current Golden Eagle football player.

No name has officially been released to the public at the moment.

Please keep the family of this young man in your thoughts and prayers as well as the entire JC Community.

UPDATE: Body of teen recovered from Paintsville Lake

Prayers to the Johnson Central community

Allow me to preface my remarks by saying that myself, his family and the Golden Eagle community would greatly appreciate any and all prayers during this dire time. This is such a sad, sad day as I have been in contact with many of our players that have aching hearts. Death is inevitable for each one of us but to take the life of a 15 year old with their best days still ahead is tough to swallow. To say that I'm shocked and very saddened by this information is an understatement. It was an honor and a privilege to coach him during his lone season with us. This young man always had an infectious smile on his face. He always made it a point to attend OTAs even when he had no other means of transportation than to call me up. During our travels we would talk about whatever was on his mind and rarely was it ever about football. When you are able to form trusting relationships with the young men that you coach, you provide them an outlet and become an individual that they can confide in when seeking advice about the wide variety of issues teenagers deal with these days. Coaching is not all about wins and losses. The most rewarding thing that I get, and I'm sure others feel the same way, is the opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact in someone's life. Such a tragedy and my thoughts and prayers will be with this young man's family and his teammates in the coming days. Rest in peace and you will be sorely missed.

Thoughts and prayers from the Dog house to the boy's family and Johnson Central family.

Always sad to hear of a life cut short. Prayers for the family and the JC community from Independence and SK.

I’m so very sorry to hear of this. I’m sure you made more of a positive impact on this kid than you’ll ever know. Taking the time to talk and listen to children/teens is one of the best investments we can make, most importantly because it reaffirms their precious value.

God bless you and the community; prayers and peace to the family.

This is incredibly sad. I have spoken with several people today about this and I can say that the entire Belfry community is praying for the Caudill family, and the Johnson Central extended family. This happens from time to time and there is just no words to explain it. Nothing seems adequate enough to convey the feelings of sadness and compassion.

RIP Luke Caudill

Thoughts and prayers for the Caudill family, and those assocciated with Johnson Central during your time of need from the Russell/Flatwoods area.

Absolutely horrible. Our prayers go out to all involved.

Very sad news for the community. Luke was a great kid who had a bright future and he will be missed very much. His smile was infectious to say the least. For those that dont know, Luke's father is a long time 15th Region official and this is the 2nd child he has lost in the last few years. I cannot imagine the pain that family must feel and my heart goes out to them. Please keep the Caudill family in your thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers for comfort & strength to the Caudill family, Luke's friends and the entire community.

Terrible tragedy, praying for all

Beyond words. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and Johnson Central community.

I am so sorry to hear of this loss, I am praying for the Young man's family and friends.
